Why move the hospital?
I note with disbelief yet another letter from Mr B Hancock yet again whinging about a bipartisan commitment to redevelop Shoalhaven Hospital with more beds, more doctors, more nurses and more services.

If you didn't get the chance to read it, the thrust of Mr Hancock's latest soliloquy is that we should close the Shoalhaven Hospital and move it south of Nowra.
Why would Mr Hancock write such a letter? Answer: He lives near the hospital.
A hospital that was there long before this individual who puts the value of his own property ahead of the wellbeing and medical interests of our entire community.
Both the NSW Government and NSW Opposition support the redevelopment of Shoalhaven Hospital as does the local health district and the vast majority of the local medical fraternity.
While Mr Hancock is entitled to his opinion, I will not be deterred in delivering the promise I took to the last election - a $434 Million major redevelopment of Shoalhaven Hospital.
If Mr Hancock disagrees, I would encourage him to run at the next state election where his theory around closing services can be tested at the ballot box. I'm pretty sure I know what the answer will be!
G J Ward MP, Meroo Meadow.
A better deal for Nowra
Andrew Constance, here in the Shoalhaven we are sick of politicians making poor leadership decisions, not listening and no vision.
Maybe you hold the key to the Liberal party regaining voter esteem and the seat of Gilmore. Fix Nowra by building the western bypass, for both vehicular traffic and the rail system.
Connect the Sydney, Wollongong, Nowra railway system up at Tarago to Canberra, Goulburn and NSW's southern railway network. Then we can think about a spur line to Jervis Bay, port facilities and a marina.
Bill Hancock, Nowra.
Shortage of goods in supermarkets
I am writing to draw people's attention to the shortage of toilet and paper towels.
I am on home dialysis four times a day and must use paper towels and metho sterelisetables etc - these things are increasing hard to obtain anywhere. They are essential for me to perform my dialysis please expletive consider others.
I must do this everyday for my life, don't be greedy leave some things for others like myself who need them for a medical condition. I would not be the only one around like that.
Please think of others instead of yourself.

Highway speed limit support
Reducing the speed limit to 80 kilometres on the Princess Highway prior to Jervis Bay, Road Falls Creek to Hawkins Road, Tomerong sounds like a great idea.
So much constant traffic on highway travelling 100 Km/h makes it very difficult for residents to leave their driveways safely.
Christine Watton, Worrigee.
Highway speed change a crazy idea
The speed limits are fine. Build the Jervis Bay Road overpass and be done with it.
Daniel Fawell, Basin View
Speed decrease is a revenue raiser
Are they really going to reduce the Princes Highway speed limit to 80km/h?
Really? You have got to be kidding! Another revenue raising scheme?
How much extra time do you expect us to accept, as a good thing, the trip to and from work?
It's fortunate that council elections are happening soon.
