This despite the fact his team is yet to lose this year.
The perfect performance finally came on Saturday, as Shoals comprehensively defeating Tech Waratahs 48-15.
Shoalhaven scored eight tries to three, Jarrod McKinney crossing for a double.
It's a shame the showing came the day before the competition was shut down for at least two weeks.
"In all the games played during the year, parts of some games have been very good, other parts have been poor," Connor said.
"Tech weren't a walkover on Saturday but right from the very start, we brought it all together.
"Our forwards and backs combined really well. A lot of the year we've been winning off the back of strong defence and our forwards dominating.
''On Saturday the backs played very well, as well as the forwards.
"Everything we've been training to and working towards came together."
Illawarra Rugby officials are yet to determine plans for the season resumption, with play not allowed until the government-enforced lockdown concludes.
As it stands now, the stay-at-home orders end on Friday, July 9.
However, it is possible the lockdown will continue should officials fail to get Sydney's COVID-19 outbreak under control.
With six rounds remaining and multiple teams still having catch-up games to play, administrators must determine the fairest way to resume the competition once the lockdown ends.
Shoalhaven are in the fortunate position of being able to train throughout the shutdown, the club falling outside the NSW government's Greater Sydney boundaries.
Connor plans to mix up the sessions throughout the next fortnight, the coach looking to ensure his team's momentum isn't halted by the mid-season pause to the competition.
"It is frustrating, but if it remains only a couple of weeks, then we get a lot of players back as well. We have two of the Brandon brothers out at the moment; Will Miller's getting close to taking the field.
"The break will allow us to get those guys back on the paddock and give us a lot of choices to make, good choices to have to make.
"Hopefully we can resume sooner rather than later and we do get to complete this season. It would be disappointing not to be able to get a full season, so hopefully we get back out there."
The impact of coronavirus was felt before Saturday's games kicked off, with two matches postponed due to unavailable players.
Campbelltown were unable to make the trip down to Kiama, while Avondale did not travel north to take on Camden.
Of the two other matches to proceed, Shamrocks secured a comprehensive 45-28 win over University, Liam Vuik scoring a double as his side crossed for seven tries.
Finally, Bowral returned to form with a 31-21 victory over Vikings.
