The event, which is co-run by Victory Runners, will be now held on Saturday, July 26.
"To maintain the safety and wellbeing for all athletes, friend, family, event staff, and other patrons, we have decided its best to postponed our NSW cross country championships," an Athletics NSW spokesperson said in a statement.
"As has been the case since March 2020, Athletics NSW would like to thank our extended community for their patience and understanding, as we take the necessary steps to ensure that every event we deliver safely and enjoyably for all."
All athletes who have entered this event will have their entry rolled over automatically to the new date.
Those competitors will also be sent direct communication from Athletics NSW with further details about the event.
This event will also still act as the main qualification race for NSW cross country team selection, which will compete at the Australian championship from August 21-22 at Adelaide's Victoria Park.
