THE Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Centre will this weekend play host to some of the top junior basketballers in the state, as the annual John Martin NSW Country Basketball Tournament comes to the region.

The new Den is one of seven venues around the state to hosts an age group - with all three under 18 boys divisions scheduled to play in the Shoalhaven across the long weekend.
Other venues around the state include Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium (under 12 boys), Breakers Indoor Sports Stadium (under 12 and 18 girls), Newcastle Basketball Stadium (under 14 boys), Niagara Park Stadium (under 14 girls), Maitland Federation Centre (under 16 boys) and Illawarra Sports Stadium (under 16 girls).
On their home court, the under 18 boys Tigers face Illawarra Red, Merimbula, Batemans Bay and Central Coast Waves in the pool matches.
In the under 16s boys, both Shoalhaven sides will compete in division three.
The Tigers One squad takes on Newcastle Academy Blue, Gilgandra, Newcastle Academy Red, Central Coast Rebels, Illawarra White and Maitland, with the Shoalhaven Two outfit battling Newcastle White, Dubbo, Newcastle Academy Orange, Central Coast Waves, Illawarra Red and Mudgee.
At Berkeley, the black and gold's under 16 girls side will hit the court against North Sydney, Central Coast Rebels, Dubbo, Illawarra and Newcastle White in division three.
In the under 14 boys, Shoalhaven division two side will face Newcastle Green, Dubbo, Canberra, Illawarra Red and Maitland while the division three side will lock horns with Mudgee, Newcastle White, Albury and Illawarra White.
The club's under 14 girls side will also compete in division three, seeing it play Queanbeyan, Illawarra, Central Coast Waves, Newcastle White and North Sydney.
While the under 12 girls have been drawn against Newcastle Academy, Canberra and Illawarra White.
In other Tiger news, the club's open men's and women's sides competed in round one of the 2021 Barrengarry competition at Berkeley on Sunday, June 6.
Shoalhaven's men's side opened their campaign with a 56-27 loss to Moss Vale before going down 46-27 and 53-39 to the Illawarra White and Red teams respectively.
In the women's, their Gold team lost their opener 65-52 to Batemans Bay, before being edged by clubmates Shoalhaven Black 39-25 in game two.
The Golds ended their day's play with a tough 81-17 defeat to Bathurst.
While in the Black side's other two matches, they lost 75-36 to Bathurst and 60-24 to Illawarra.
The next round of the competition is on Sunday, June 27 at the Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Centre.
