Around 7.30pm on Wednesday (June 9) the two-tonne Hino tipper truck, being driven north on the highway by a 26-year-old woman crossed to the wrong side of road before travelling down a small embankment and crashed into the lower level of the two-storey home.
The woman from the Illawarra, who was the sole occupant of the truck was trapped inside the vehicle, which had crashed into and breached a wall of the lower level of the home.
Fire and Rescue NSW Ulladulla members along with a crew from the Ulladulla State Emergency Service Unit used acrow props to secure the house structure, before the vehicle could be winched from where it was embedded in the building.
In a tricky operation, Fire and Rescue NSW Ulladulla members had to work to release the woman, whose head was pushed out of the driver's side window, trapped by the window frame hard up against the house, while her lower legs were trapped in the crumpled dash.

After winching the truck free of the home, which was an operation on its own due to the lack of space, NSW Ambulance paramedics stabilised the injured woman while fire crews continued to work on freeing her from the cabin.
The woman was eventually released, stabilised at the scene before being airlifted to St George Hospital by the Toll NSW Ambulance rescue helicopter, which had also been called to the scene, in a serious condition with leg injuries.
The rescue efforts were completed shortly before 10pm.
A family, including four children, in the upstairs section of the home were uninjured in the incident.
In what proved to be a busy period for the FRNSW Ulladulla crew, they were also called to an accident just 100 metres from house crash, around 2.30am Thursday after two cars had collided.
No one was reported injured in that accident.
