THE Bomaderry Tigers courageously fought back to claim a draw during Saturday's AFL South Coast fixture with the Wollongong Lions.

At the Nowra Showground, the Tigers led by five points at quarter-time of the women's premier division clash.
But a scoreless second quarter by the hosts, while conceding two goals, saw them trail by seven points at the main break.
With both sides kicking one major each in the third, the margin remained at seven at three-quarter-time.
But one goal and one behind by the black and golds, while restricting the visitors to zero points, saw the match end in a draw 4.2-26 to 4.2-26.
This result marks the Tigers first points of the season, after losing their opening five matches of the 2021 season.
India Patmore (two), Lily Macdonald and Shannen Karger kicked goals for the hosts, with Jess Wardale, Rhianna Nelson, Cassandra Drayton, Sophia Wall and Nayana Patmore also producing strong performances.
This was one of three matches at the Nowra Showground on Saturday during round seven.
This women's fixture was followed by the men's division one clash between Bomaderry and Figtree, which the latter won 8.5-53 to 5.9-39.
In the defeat, Troy Cole (three), Charlie Bramley and Fergus Priest kicked majors for Bomaderry, with James Phillips, Adriaan Toms, Matthew Lawrence, Luke McCann, Ryan Kelly and Jake Satchell all doing what they could on the field.
Finally, Bomaderry's division two men's side smashed Shellharbour 12.9-81 to 0.2-2, thanks to seven goals from Matt Hickmott and four from Corey Warrington - with Corey Braddick kicking the other.
In other notable scores across the weekend, Nowra-Albatross downed Kiama 9.7-61 to 7.6-48 in men's division one, with the result being flipped in the division one fixture between the two clubs at West Street Oval - as the Power smashed the Vikings 10.12-72 to 0.0-0.
