A cold snap is making its way across the state this week, with very cold temperatures, damaging winds, heavy rainfall, flash flooding, hail and low level snow predicted.

The Bureau of Meteorology warned the major winter weather event would move over the state on Monday evening and into Tuesday.
Late Tuesday and into Wednesday, NSW will have very cold temperatures with rain and isolated thunderstorms expected.
There is a strong wind warning for the Batemans and Eden coasts this week as the cold front moves over the area.
For the Eden, Batemans and Illawarra coasts it will be mostly sunny on Monday and Tuesday, but there is a near 100 per cent chance of showers on Wednesday, June 9 with thunderstorms expected in the afternoon.
Inland, heavy snow is expected for alpine regions with 50-100cm possible in the next 10 days, and potentially 15-30cm across the Central Tablelands and Blue Mountains.
Fire and Rescue NSW asked the community to ensure their fireplaces were cleaned and ready to keep them warm in the oncoming cold snap.
The State Emergency Service advised people should:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
- Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
- Keep at least 8 metres away from fallen power lines or objects that may be energised, such as fences.
- Trees that have been damaged by fire are likely to be more unstable and more likely to fall.
- Report fallen power lines to either Ausgrid (131 388), Endeavour Energy (131 003), Essential Energy (132 080) or Evoenergy (131 093) as shown on your power bill.
- Stay vigilant and monitor conditions. Note that the landscape may have changed following bushfires.
- For emergency help in floods and storms, ring your local SES Unit on 132 500.
