Get your deerstalker cap on - the play's afoot. Ken Ludwig has transformed Arthur Conan Doyle's classic The Hound of the Baskervilles into a murderously funny adventure. Stock up on a host of goodies this weekend at the Milton Village Showground Markets. You'll find find food, new, vintage and upcycled fashion, ceramics, flowers, herbs, woodwork and jewellery for sale. Want to keep the kids occupied? Try the jumping castle and pony rides. Australian Haydn Ensemble

The Australian Haydn Ensemble is well known for unearthing forgotten composers and rediscovery of unknown historical chamber versions of the classics. In this show they highlight two of the greats, Beethoven's Pastoral and Mozart's Haffner Serenade, along with a melancholic and moving string sextet by Boccherini. Winter Wine Fest

Ziggy Alberts and Mallrat have been announced as headline acts for Winter Wine Festival Part 2 in June. Also on the line-up are Steph Strings, Garret Kato, Budjerah and Teenage Joans, with more acts to be announced. The Milking Stool

The Milking Stool provides an evening in the company of fascinating speakers and of people who enjoy exploring ideas. The series was created by Dr Mary Moran, who is eager to explore the challenges and pleasures of difference. The next event, "PR, Propaganda and Persuasion", will look at the worlds of advertising-marketing, political speechwriting-spin doctoring, and advocacy, with a range of interesting participants.
