Fresh off their first win against Avondale in a decade, Shoals edged Vikings 20-19 at Vikings Rugby Club, to move to 8-0 this campaign.
The gutsy win, in which Shoals were without Will Miller, Will Ridley, Steven Brandon, Tom Hill and Michael Dun, was set up by five-pointers from Duncan Maddinson, George Miller and Mark Brandon - with the latter adding a conversion and penalty kick.

In the loss, William Rakua, Shane Makea and Akima Operto crossed for the hosts, with Tom Sawden slotting two conversions.
Elsewhere in the split round nine, which will see the rest of the fixtures played on July 17, Shamrocks smashed Camden 42-10 and Kiama downed University 22-10.
While Avondale smashed Bowral 45-5 in the round one catch-up game.
Shoals second grade side also chalked up a win against Vikings, defeating rivals 41-7.
After eight rounds, Shoals sit on top with 37 points, ahead of Avondale 33, Campbelltown 31, Shamrocks 30, Vikings 24, Bowral 21, Kiama 16, tech Waratahs 15, Camden 10 and University eight.
Next week, Shoals are again on the road to face Camden.
