As part of World Meditation Day (Friday, May 21) , the Cancer Council's has a new podcast series Finding Calm During Cancer.

This year in NSW, more than 50,000 people will be diagnosed with cancer.

A diagnosis is often stressful, and the person may experience a series of changes and losses, such as the loss of good health, temporary or permanent changes to appearance, not being able to work or do normal activities, changed financial plans, a loss of independence, changed relationships, and perhaps a shift in how the person sees themselves.

It can take time to adjust to these changes. Cancer Council's Cancer Information and Support Services offer a range of support options and practical suggestions, including podcasts, to help people deal with the shock of cancer.

The new podcast series Finding Calm During Cancer, a meditation and relaxation podcast series, narrated by psychologist Dr Lisbeth Lane, highlights the role of mindfulness in reducing stress and anxiety during cancer treatment.

Recent research from Cancer Council and the University of Newcastle shows that many people diagnosed with cancer experience a high level of distress. It is important for everyone to explore ways to manage emotional distress and seek professional support if it is ongoing.

Mind you these are only cars used by the city of Paris and not personal vehicles. All of these have the same issue,.... the battery storage cells have given out and need replacement. Why not just replace them you ask? Well two reasons. First the battery storage cells cost almost double what the vehicle cost new, and second no landfill or disposals will allow the batteries to be disposed of there. So these green fairy tale electric cars are all sitting in vacant lots while their batteries drain toxins into the ground. Still think we need to go green?

On the contrary, Mr McCormack. We know that all our backsides are on fire, the flames caused by the horribly cruel animal agriculture corporations that you spend your taxpayer-funded time shielding. The most comprehensive study ever conducted on animal agriculture's environmental impact has concluded that meat consumption has to decrease by as much as ninety percent if we're going to halt climate change.

Mr McCormack seems to forget how many people were killed or displaced and traumatised by the massive bushfires of 2019-20. We are all close to being on fire, Deputy PM, and the best way to combat it is to encourage people to go vegan.
