Leading the way for the Dragons, in just their second win of the season, were Group Seven talents Luke Chalker (Kiama) and Josh Coric (Albion Park-Oak Flats).
The 14-point win was set up by tries to James Schiller (third minute), Tyrell Sloan (31st), Coric (37th), Tony Pellow (51st), Josh Carr (56th) and Shaun Sauni-Esau (80th) - with Siti Moceidreke adding five conversions and one penalty goal.
Making the win even more impressive is the fact the Red V were without Gerringong's Tyran Wishart (injured), Park's Adam Clune and Gerringong's Jackson Ford (inside NRL COVID-19 bubble).
The Dragons, who are 2-6 this season, have the bye in round 10.
Elsewhere, Warilla-Lake South's Jesse Dee and his Mackay Cutters were no match for Queensland Cup rivals Sunshine Coast Falcons, featuring former NSW State of Origin player Jarrod Mullen, on Sunday, going down 58-10.
Mackay, who now sit in 15th with a 1-5 record, next travel to Jack Manski Oval to face the Townsville Blackhawks.
Finally, the Dragons Jersey Flegg side chalked up their fifth win of 2021 by outlasting Canterbury-Bankstown 28-22 at the Belmore Sports Ground on Saturday.
The Red V's side was headlined by Batemans Bay's Treigh Stewart (who also played for the Mount Warrigal in 2020), Warilla's Blake Dowel and Berry-Shoalhaven Heads' Billy Hayburn during the six-point win.
