The under 15 Warriors took on the Stingrays in an evenly contested first game of the 2021 season.
The Nowra Warriors had a slight lead at half-time but dropped their game with simple mistakes early in the second half.
To the Warriors credit, a comeback saw them come close to stealing the game within the last two minutes, thanks to a sideline try attempt by Jake Wallis.
He was unfortunately unsuccessful and the Warriors were defeated by two points.
A very entertaining game in defence and attack.
This round, the club's home ground Lyrebird Park will be hosting two games.
Good luck to all teams playing this weekend.
