After having some of their funding cut, manager of the Shoalhaven Women's Health Centre Tracy Lumb was thrilled to receive the $2,000 cheque from Nowra Rotary today.
"For an organisation that is made up of predominantly men, it's great to see their kindness going towards a women's service that will go directly towards women in our community," she said.

Ms Lumb said the money will go directly to providing around two to three more workshops for clients.
"Donations are always absolutely needed, because we've been defunded with a lot of money," she said.
"All donations we receive gets put straight back into service delivery for women in our community. With this money, we'll be able to run two or three more workshops."
Ms Lumb said some of the workshops involve improving the mental health and teaching calming techniques to women who have experienced domestic/family violence, relationship breakdowns or sexual assault.
"This money gives us the opportunity to run unique programs for women that we work with for a very long time," she said.
"One of our workshops runs for four weeks, where women can learn different practices and how to self-soothe and use strategies that benefit their mental health.
"We also have a workshop where women can make their own ragdolls, and clients walk away with a beautiful keepsake that normally represents a woman that has been important to her life, or it can even represent herself as someone who has emerged from violence or a poor relationship or been through sexual assault."
Rotarian and Shoalhaven City Councillor Nina Digiglio and President of the club Jason Cox were delighted to present the cheque to a "well-deserving" organisation.
"The Women's Health Centre are so worthy of funding and the work they do is so important to our community," said President of Nowra Rotary Jason Cox.
