At the Bowral Rugby Club, five-pointers from Duncan Maddinson, Angus Maddinson, Ava Raboitoga and Mark Brandon set up Shoals' fifth straight win to open the season.
In the 22-point win, Mark Brandon (three) and William Ridley (one) added conversions.
Henry Yuill scored the hosts' lone try with Lachlan Huntington converting it.
In second grade, Bowral downed Shoals 30-14.
Elsewhere in first grade Avondale edged University 34-26, Vikings outlasted Tech Waratahs 31-28, Camden pipped Kiama 18-17 and Campbelltown accounted for Shamrocks 24-22.
As such, Avondale and Campbelltown currently sit in equal first on 25 points, just ahead of Shoals on 23.
Vikings are fourth on 17, followed by Shamrocks (16), Bowral (15), Kiama, (four), Tech Waratahs (four), Camden (four) and University (two).
Shoals don't play next weekend, as it's a wet weather round making up for round one - where Paul Connor's troops defeated Camden.
Elsewhere Tech Waratahs play University, Campbelltown host Vikings, Avondale battle Bowral and Shamrocks lock horns with Kiama.
