After winning each of their first three division two men's games, the Tigers went into the round four fixture at the Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Centre full of confidence.
But the Saints blew the hosts off the court in the first quarter, to lead 24-6 at the end of period number one.
The hosts slowly worked their way back into the match, to be only down by 16 at half-time and also three-quarter-time.
But the fourth quarter is when the black and golds made their move.
Through the opening nine minutes of the term, the Tigers outscored their opponents 21-7, to close the margin to two points (64-62).
But unfortunately, that's as close the Tigers got, as the Saints held their nerve to win by six points.
In the defeat, Bruce Ozolins and Billy Campbell scored 17 and 16 points respectively.
Bagoly's troops now have the bye before hosting the Central Coast Waves from 6pm on Saturday, May 15 at the new Den, as part of the club's double-header - with the youth men playing Goulburn at 4pm.
