Ulladulla - A local Anzac Day event will be held in Ulladulla this year but there will not be a dawn service. The Milton Ulladulla ExServos Club and Milton Ulladulla RSL Sub-Branch will be having an Anzac Service at 11am on the front lawn and memorial gardens of the club. There will be a short march within the ExServos grounds for current and Ex-Serviceman only. It will start at 10.30am with the service to follow at 11am. Due to COVID restrictions, the gathering is limited to 1000 people in the area and everyone wishing to attend will need to register with Sticky Tickets and download and bring their ticket with them. There will be no service or march at Milton this year.
Special flyovers - A Royal Australian Air Force F-35A Lightning II aircraft, supersonic, stealth fighter, will perform flypasts at Berry and Nowra to commemorate Anzac Day and mark the RAAF's centenary on March 31. The F-35A Lightning II is a highly advanced multi-role, supersonic, stealth fighter, capable of reaching speeds of 1,960 km/h. The fighter is due to fly over the Nowra Showground Memorial Gates in Junction Street, at 10.15am and Berry Memorial Park in Alexandra Street at 10.30am.
No HMAS Creswell public service - One usual local service that won't go ahead for the public is at HMAS Creswell. The Royal Australian Naval College on the shores of Jervis Bay usually stages a dawn service for personnel and the local Jervis Bay community, but this year due to COVID concerns the service will not be open to the public. However, base personnel will undertake a private service.
Members of the community who are not attending a service are encouraged to replicate last year's 'Light Up the Dawn' service and gather in their driveways to commemorate fallen soldiers. They may also choose to lay wreaths at their local memorial throughout the day.
