Playing at the Ryde Basketball Stadium, the visitors were all tied up (11-all) with the 2.16 to play in the first term before the Bulls ended the term on a 14-6 run, to lead by eight at quarter-time.
The two sides traded baskets in the second period, with back-to-back Brayden Morris baskets tying the scores up at 34-all.
But once again, the Bulls finished the term the stronger, to go into half-time up 44-36.
The hosts carried that hot shooting into the third, where they extended their advantage to nine (59-50) by the last break.
The final 10 minutes well and truly belonged to the hosts, who outscored the Tiger Cubs 40-21, to run out winners by 28 points.
In the defeat, Morris finished with 22 points, being well-supported by Jeremy Harding (14) and Austin Collings (11).
The black and golds are once again on the road during round three of the Waratah League, travelling to the Queanbeyan Basketball Stadium to face the Yowies from 5pm Saturday.
