Three paramedic crews, one ambulance rescue crew and the Toll Ambulance Rescue helicopter, which carried a critical care doctor and critical care paramedic were sent to the scene
Upon arrival paramedics treated a man believed to be in his thirties for a suspected leg injury, before he was winched to safety and flown to St George hospital in a stable condition.
NSW Ambulance Inspector Kell Milne said the incident was another reminder that rock-fishing was a high-risk activity.
"The man suffered a significant leg injury and was in severe pain when paramedics arrived on scene," he said.
"The Toll Ambulance Rescue helicopter did a fantastic job winching the man to safety in a very challenging location.

"It's vital to take any necessary safety equipment when rock fishing.
"This incident shows just how quickly a situation can change."
