Members of the community who are not attending a service are encouraged to replicate last year's 'Light Up the Dawn' service and gather in their driveways to commemorate fallen soldiers. They may also choose to lay wreaths at their local memorial throughout the day.

The communications member of the Nowra RSL Sub-Branch Tim Standen, said the challenges of adhering to COVID rules for a dawn service are different to other events that have been held around the state.

"We have to balance the safety of this elderly cohort of veterans against the risk posed to their health by the possibility of a COVID exposure," he said.

According to Mr Standen, social distancing at the 2021 Mardi Gras was easily controlled because it was ticketed and in an enclosed stadium.

"We think next year's Anzac Day will be full throttle again," he said.

With that said, here's a list of this year's events.

BERRY

A march will step off at 10.30am from outside the Berry RSL Sub-Branch Hall in Alexandra Street. Due to COVID safe planning, the march itself will be invite-only with uniformed ADF, veterans and wreath layers.

Entry into the precinct will be via two control points on Alexandra Street/ Victoria Street intersection and one at Station Road, where people will be required to QR scan for entry.

A commemorative service will commence at approximately 10.45am and follow the standard format for previous years.

BOMADERRY

At 5.45am a dawn service will be held at Walsh Memorial Park in Bomaderry which will be open to the public.

At 10am a small wreath-laying memorial service will be held at the park.

CULBURRA BEACH

A service will be held at midday at the memorial in the community centre located on IRT retirement village grounds. The service will go for about an hour.

GREENWELL POINT

The Nowra RSL Sub-Branch will hold a simplified commemoration which will take place at Anzac Park in Greenwell point. The event will be roped off from the public to accommodate the invited participants and will commence at 5.45am.

HUSKISSON

A march will commence at 10.30am along Hawke Street and will lead into a service at Voyager Park at 11am.

NOWRA

The Nowra RSL Sub-Branch will hold an invitation-only wreath-laying service at the Nowra Showgrounds Soldier's Memorial Gates commencing at 11am.

The commemoration will take place in a roped off area from the public to accommodate the invited participants.

SHOALHAVEN HEADS

A dawn service will take place at the Shoalhaven Heads Memorial Park just before 6am.

SUSSEX INLET

A limited-seating Anzac Day luncheon will start at 11.30am and finish at 2.30pm at the Sussex Inlet RSL. Tickets for the luncheon will open to the public from April 16 and will be $25 a head.

ULLADULLA

A local Anzac Day event will be held in Ulladulla this year but there will not be a dawn service.

The Milton Ulladulla ExServos Club and Milton Ulladulla RSL Sub-Branch will be having an Anzac Service at 11am on the front lawn and memorial gardens of the club.

There will be a short march within the ExServos grounds for current and Ex Serviceman only. It will start at 10.30am with the service to follow at 11am. Due to COVID restrictions, the gathering is limited to 1000 people in the area and everyone wishing to attend will need to register with Sticky Tickets and download and bring their ticket with them.

There will be no service or march at Milton this year.
