SOME of the state's top Australian Football rising stars will descend on Nowra this week, as the GWS Giants Academy hosts a two-day development carnival.

Staged at the Nowra Showground on Tuesday and Wednesday, close to 200 players from the ACT, South Coast, Western Sydney and Central West regions, in the under 12s to under 15s age groups, will attempt to showcase their talents and press their claims for futher selection.
Tuesday will see an induction for both the selected male and female athletes in both the under 12s and under 15s age groups, before the under 13s and under 14s do the same on Wednesday.
Following each age groups relevant inductions, they will contest trial matches against one another - with Tuesday (from 11am) hosting six matches before Wednesday (from 10.30am) sees nine fixtures played.
Over the two days, 76 South Coast products will in be action, including 19 under 12s, 11 under 13s, 28 under 14s and 18 under 15s.
The under 12s age group consists of Merimbula's Ryan Stevens, Sunny Hulme, Corey Bennett and Bronte Purcell, Batemans Bay's James Collins, Nick Wain and Rafael Dyason, Bay and Basin's Ben Edwards, CJ Malmborg and Morena Morgione, Tathra's Flynn Cook, Jax Roberts and Axel Beattie, Kiama's Archie Shelley, Charlie Brittan and Oasis Huender, Ulladulla's Ezekiel Geradts and Taz Boddington and Bega's Callum McDonald.
While in the under 13s, the South Coast will be represented by Ulladulla's Lachlan Barry, Seb Diver, Tom James, Finn Balie and Zara Neil, Narooma's Keanu Craig and Frank Friskin, Bomaderry's Liam Johnstone and Hannah Phillips, Kiama's Sienna Smith and Batemans Bay's Cale Petterwood.
The 28 players from the South Coast in the under 14s are Bomaderry's Tom Duncan, Dusty Cook, Dan Harris, Tyson Walker, Foster Henry, Will Webster, Sienna Clarke and Aysha Sanchez, Bay and Basin's Taj Malmborg, Ollie Driscoll, Jack Hewson, Jack Allen, Jed Snelling and Jake Griggs, Merimbula's Digby Currie, Hugh Balas, Wyatt Purcell and Jayda Hulme, Narooma's Jed Ware, Will Tiffen and Freddie Friskin, Shoalhaven Giants' Maddie Coleman and Anya Ellerington, Batemans Bay's Sophie Firth, Ulladulla's Jacob Jones, Bermagui's Lachlan Moresi, Pambula's Oli Dinwoodie and Tathra's Cleo Cook.
Finally, in the under 15s, the Giants Academy squad features Ulladulla's Ben Clough, Connor West, Ella Marlo and Harry Neil, Merimbula's Tom Miller, Walter Blewitt and Angus Kew, Bermagui's Harry Huddlestone, Jaryd Cotton and Tyge Matters, Bay and Basin's Cade Missingham, Riley Clerget and Mariah Vuckovic, Bomaderry's Dylan Johnstone and Oscar Tunney-Roberts, Bega's Jayden Deighan-Smith, Batemans Bay's Austin Edwards and Moruya's Tom Lassau.
