At Junction Oval, South Australia won the toss and elected to bat first, making 333 behind knocks from Travis Head (76) and Samuel Kerber (55).
Jon Holland did most of the damage for the hosts, taking 5-82 from his 33.1 overs.
In reply, Victoria eclipsed their opponents' first innings total by reaching 365 from their 112.3 overs.
Sam Harper hit 106 not out, while James Seymour (60), Marcus Harris (42) and Maddison (41) all made handy knocks.
Both Daniel Worrall (3-86) and Kerber (3-92) claimed three wickets each for South Australia.
In their second innings, the visitors reached 9-329 before the game was called a draw on Tuesday afternoon.
Opener Henry Hunt smashed 127 for South Australia, as Jake Lehmann hit 62.
Holland backed up his first innings performance with the ball by taking 4-90.
This result sees Victoria and South Australia finish the season in fifth and sixth respectively.
