Through the tireless efforts of club volunteers and the commitment of several new sponsors, the Outlaws have recruited a new crop of players to don the black and yellow during the 2021 third grade season.

Despite having recruited players from all over the South Coast region, the Outlaws still maintain their strong roots in Albion Park.

"Despite some common misconceptions, 80 per cent of our players come from the Albion Park, Tullimbar and Calderwood Valley areas," club captain/coach Scott Adams said.

"We're a family club at our core - we're all about acceptance and inclusivity.

"Players that might not have been given a fair go at other clubs, were being under-utilised or those just wanting a fresh start, is what the Albion Park Outlaws are built on.

"We've always been the little brother or the underdog, but that's what drives us.

"We want to prove everyone wrong."

With an intense pre-season in the books, the Outlaws, who were third grade premiers in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 before withdrawing at the end of 2017, start their Regan Cup campaign on Saturday, April 10 against Sussex Inlet at Finkernagel Oval.

"The boys have been training well over the last few months and are gelling quickly," said Outlaws recruit Reece Conley.

"There's a lot of experience among the squad and that will only benefit the team moving forward, as we tackle what is a long and physically demanding third grade season.

"The club has a strong foundation and a really passionate supporter base.

"Friday night games at the Albion Park Showground are legendary and I can't wait to experience it with this new generation of Outlaws."
