THE One-Day Cup campaign Nic Maddinson's Victorian side went from bad to worse on Tuesday, as they slumped to their third straight loss.
At the WACA, the Nowra product's side was sent to the field by Western Australia - who wanted to bat first in their home deck.
Behind half-centuries from Josh Inglis (91), Sam Whiteman (66) and Shaun Marsh (54), the hosts posted 317 from their 48.3 overs.
Jonathan Merlo kept the visitors in the match with 5-71, while Will Sutherland took 2-37 with the white ball.
In reply, Victoria struggled, as only Sam Harper (60) and Peter Hanscomb (42) offered any real resistance before the side was all out for 147 in the 31st over.
Former Bomaderry High School student Maddinson only managed one run from the four balls he faced.
Joel Paris (4-21) and Liam O'Connor (3-35) led the way for the hosts.
Maddinson's side, who are now 0-3 in the one-day format, now shift their attention's to a Sheffield Shield fixture against Western Australia, once again at the WACA, starting on Thursday.
