ALDI has held a development application for 51 Narang Road, Bomaderry, since 2016.
The former site of the Shoalhaven Skateway and more recently SALT Ministries church, along with Steen Pedersen's legendary motorcycle shop have all been demolished to make way for the new supermarket, which believe it or not is due to be opened to the public by August/September this year.

Prime Build, which has operations in Riverstone in north-west Sydney, Dandenong South in Victoria and Virginia in Queensland is undertaking the build.
The almost $7 million build will have taken just on seven-months when completed.
The scope of works incorporates the new store, which will be more than 1800 square metres, and have close to 100 car spaces on a new concrete hardstand car park.
New, separate access will be provided to the adjacent gym and Shoalhaven City Lanes tenpin bowling alley.
Major works are also being undertaken on Narang Road, with ALDI complex actually including some of the land to the southern side of the road.
Narang Road is being widened significantly, with retaining walls also to be put in place along the banked southern side of the road.
There will also be integration to the car park for the bowling alley and gym.
Permission was sought to operate the store between 7am to 10pm, seven days a week, but most ALDI stores typically trade from 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday.
