The first of the visitors are expected to hit town on March 13, when gates to the complex officially open.

After last year's campout was cancelled due to COVID-19, organisers Owen and Thelma Ison, who put their Millbank Road property up as venue for the event are "as keen as ever" and ready to rock and roll, sorry that should be "country and roll".

The couple's 21-acre property undergoes a massive transformation and over the years has come to be affectionately known as "Owie's World".

"We're ready to go," Mr Ison said.

"It was very disappointing last year's event was cancelled due to COVID, but we all had to play it safe and that was just the way things go."

Over the years the event has raised thousands of dollars for local charities.

2020 was to be the ninth time the popular country music campout was held.

"The response has been very positive, as usual," Mr Ison said.

"We've had people ringing up wanting to book spots. But we don't do that. It's first in best dressed.

"If you get here early you get the best parks and camping spots, if not you have a longer walk."

Obviously, a COVID-19 safe plan has been put in place with people to check in with the QR code, sanitise etc.

"We can have up to 1600 people at the venue at any one time," Mr Ison said.

"I think just over 800 is the biggest we've ever had, so on that front we should be right.

"Even if we had 400 vans, which we never have, that would only be 800 people roughly and I don't see us getting another 800 from town."

Mr Ison still has a long-term dream to have 400 vans on the property for the event - the closest he's been was 2017 when they had 340 - the biggest event ever.

He's spent the past few months preparing the property, mowing and slashing paddocks, ensuring everything is ship shape and as usual it is looking a picture.

Gates will open 12.30pm on Saturday, March 13 for people who are camping, while the main campout and entertainment runs from Thursday, March 18 to Sunday, March 21.

The campout will again include walk up artists, free ukulele lessons, poets breakfast, with cooking to be done by Bomaderry Lions Club.

Again a good line-up of artists has been assembled over the four-day event.

Artists appearing on the Thursday-Sunday include - local talent Peter "Smokie" Dawson, Owen Blundell, Royden Donahue, George Farnham, Brian Letton, Robyn Gleeson, Kingsley and Christine Day, Ernie Constance, Rod, Rhonda, Georgie and Lachie Owen, Ged and Trudy Hintz, Dennis Dawson, Meryl Reinhard, Bryce Rawlings, Rob Breese, Joe Reeves, Christine and John Smith and Darcy and Ally.

Day passes for the campout are $15, unlimited day pass $50 per person and camping pass $75 per person.
