A development application has been lodged with Shoalhaven City Council by KMC Orange Pty Ltd, of Newcastle, to build a Hungry Jacks outlet in Bomaderry.
The proposal is for 269 Princes Highway, Bomaderry which is already home of the Shell Coles Express petrol station, a tyre business, along with a couple of other fast food outlets.
Plans show the $646,213 construction will be built to the north of the petrol station between it and the Bridgestone Tyre business.
The application was lodged February 24 and states the internal dining area will have a seating capacity of 50 seats in the 250 square metre complex.
There will also be a dual lane drive-through (accommodating 13 vehicles) and two waiting bays.
The building will mean a reconfiguration of hard stand and car parking area resulting in a total of 34 car parks across the entire lot.
Business identification signage will also be installed.
It is proposed the business would operate 24 hours, seven days a week, with an average of 12 staff on site during daytime hours and a minimum of three staff during night time hours at any given time.
A loading bay is proposed at the southern side of the building, with provision to allow a 12.5m articulated truck to enter the site, reverse into the loading bay and exit the site .
It is expected the number of deliveries will be low, approximately one to two per week.
The proposed development will involve the replacement of two approved specialised retail premises, which were approved under the original site application and since modified.
The application says the proposal is considered to be in the "public interest" as it will "deliver a number of public, social and economic benefits with minimal adverse impacts".
Hungry Jacks already has one outlet on the Princes Highway at South Nowra.
