Titled 'Powering Up', the program is a holistic and practical approach for women living with disabilities to develop life and employment skills.
Funded by the NSW Government's, Investing in Women program, activities include face-to-face workshops covering self-esteem, inner health, employment skills and financial success through practical skills and mentoring as well as online workshops for women unable to attend the face to face events.
Flagstaff is looking for women from public and private business and community-based sectors who can volunteer their time and resources to help educate and support women to build the skills and confidence they need to lead secure and happy lives.
Programs will run in the Shoalhaven from March to May covering topics on health and fitness, cooking and nutrition, financial security and fun social activities.
Topics were selected after receiving feedback from women living with disability on what they believed was needed and lacking.
