FOURTH-PLACED Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens secured valuable first innings and outright points on Saturday, in their round 10 clash with Nowra at South Nowra Oval.

After winning the toss, Ex-Servos sent their Shoalhaven District Cricket Association third grade rivals to the crease.
It proved to be the correct decision, as the hosts were all out for just 31 runs in the 17th over.
The chief destroyer for Ex-Servos was Don Tharaka (5-16), while Viralkumar Patel and Luke Hopper took 2-1 and 1-14 respectively.
In reply, Ex-Servos reached 3-109 before declaring, with Tor Janes (39) leading the way.
Nowra then made 4-78 (declared) in their second innings, before Ex-Servos claimed outright points with 0-1 in their second dig.
Tharaka (2-24) was again the star with the cherry for Ex-Servos.
Elsewhere, leaders Batemans Bay dismissed Bay and Basin for 41 at Hanging Rock Oval - with Danny Eccles (11) being the only batsmen to reach double-figures.
Tony Dcosta (3-5) and Bruce Dickinson (3-12) both claimed three wickets for the hosts, as Joshua Vanzetti chipped in with 2-4.
In reply, the Bay cruised to first innings points by reaching 6-148 at stumps, led by Dcosta (33) and Meljoy Dcunha (25 not out).
Eccles again did what he could for Basin, taking 2-42 from his 9.1 overs.
At the Thompson Street Sporting Complex, second-placed Sussex Inlet is in strife against North Nowra-Cambewarra.
After being sent in, the hosts made 89, with Dave Goodwin (22) top-scoring.
Both Samuel Neri and Graham Lowbridge took 3-12 for the visitors, as Marley Arthur claimed 2-14.
In reply, Norths finished at 2-42 after day one, thanks to Clayton Hewitt's 19 not out - with the side needing another 48 runs to secure first innings points.
Finally, at the Bomaderry Sports Complex, the Tigers have their work cut out for them against Berry-Shoalhaven Heads.
Despite 54 from Donald Kennedy, Bomaderry was all out for 88, as Michael Troy ripped through the side with 6-26 from his 12 overs.
In their chase, Berry will start day two at 2-54, with Richie Brain (23 not out) and Mike Howard (12 not out) at the crease - needing another 35 runs to secure first innings points.
Robert Mirabito (1-7) is the Tigers' lone wicket-taker.
