The wonderful old historic photo showed a group of men gathered together - the only problem was no one knew who any of the men were and where and when the photograph was taken.
Through some investigative work and through the publishing of the photograph Shoalhaven Historical Society president Lynne Allen has been able to identify four of the men.
Long-time Shoalhaven residents Maureen Ison and Audrey Boyd have been able to provide the men's names.
According to Mrs Ison the man (fourth from right back row) is James Daniel Horgan, who lived in Jennings Lane, Bolong and moved to Shoalhaven Street, Nowra in 1942.

While seventh from the right is Bert Horgan, who stayed on the farm in Bolong.
Mrs Boyd identified Jim Henry (11th from the right) and her late husband Virtue's grandfather, John Hanigan (sixth from the right).
"It's great to be able to identify some of the men," Mrs Allen said.
"But we'd certainly like to be able to identify more."
Mrs Allen said at this stage there is no idea what the event could be and a time frame the photograph was taken.
"The thoughts still are that it might have something to do with the A and H Society, with a guess of being in the 1930s," she said.
It is thought the photo has been in the society's possession for more than 20 years, said Mrs Allen, who spent much of the COVID-19 lockdown cleaning up the historical society's photographic draws
"The fact the photo has not been accessioned means that it has been in our collection for at least 20 years, since I took over accessioning the photographs," she said.
"We'd just love to be able to find out what the photo is all about."
If you have any information on the photograph or can identify anyone in it please contact Lynne Allen on 0412 776432.
