St George Illawarra Dragons visit eight Shoalhaven schools as part of South Coast blitz
THE St George Illawarra Dragons hit the road with plenty of prizes and gifts in hand recently, when they visited eight schools in one day, as part of their 2021 South Coast community blitz.
Between Group Seven trio Adam Clune, Tariq Sims and Tyran Wishart, as well as Jayden Sullivan, Paul Vaughan and Tyrell Fuimaono, the players visited Huskisson and Vincentia public schools, as well as Shoalhaven High.
Jack Bird, Junior Amone and Shellharbour's Trent Merrin stopped in at Greenwell Point Public School and Terrara Public School, with Kaide Ellis, Albion Park-Oak Flats' Josh Coric and Gerringong's Jackson Ford attending Sussex Inlet and Falls Creek for the day.
The final trio of Cam McInnes, Tyrell Sloan and Blake Lawrie, put smiles on the faces of students from Tomerong PS and Bomaderry PS.
More South Coast-based schools will be involved in Dragons' events in the coming weeks, with the club's 'best you can be health and wellbeing program', which incorporates 86 schools, having a number of gala days coming up - as well as an Illawarra blitz on March 3.
