Following a track inspection at the Shoalhaven City Turf Club on Sunday morning, it was decider to transfer the meet to Goulburn on Tuesday - with Racing NSW releasing the following statement.
"Following the postponement of Sunday's Nowra race meeting and having considered the weather forecast, the scheduled Nowra meeting has been transferred to Goulburn to be conducted on Tuesday, February 16.
"A track gallop and inspection of the Goulburn track by stewards will be completed to provide a detailed track assessment, however, it is expected the current rating to be a heavy (eight) with the possibility of improving with favourable weather."
Since the release of Racing NSW's statement, the Goulburn track has improved to a soft (seven), with a penetrometer reading of 5.7.
The country champs qualifier, which was moved to Moruya in 2020, will remain at a distance of 1400 metre, with two of the eight-race schedule having amended distances.
