Mayor Amanda Findley voted against supporting a development at West Culburra at last week's council meeting - and she has the support of Jerrinja spokesperson Graham Connolly Jr.

Cr Findley said she did not believe enough had been done to establish the potential cultural significance of the site.
Mr Connolly agreed.
"As custodians, we want it investigated further," he said.
"We've used that site as campgrounds, eating grounds and hunting grounds. We have old fish traps in :Lake Wollumboola.
"In our spiritual realm these sites are so significant, and the developer should take that into consideration."

Mr Connolly said he was not opposed to development, but there needed to be consultation with local Aboriginal people.
"As custodians of the land we should be given the opportunity to make sure these sites are being looked after," he said.
"We need more input."
