A crime scene has been established at the location of a large grass fire in Nowra, a NSW Police spokesperson has confirmed.

About 11.20am on Tuesday January 26, emergency services were called to the grassed area behind Stockland on the Princes Highway at Nowra, following reports of a grass fire.
It took emergency services until late that evening to bring the blaze under control.
Fire and Rescue Crews were on standby to protect nearby homes for a number of hours.
Officers from South Coast Police District attended and established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist forensic officers.
Investigations are continuing into the cause of the blaze; anyone with information is urged to contact South Coast police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
