Sussex hosted Shoalhaven Ex-Servicemens on Saturday at the Thompson Street Sporting Complex and went onto record a 17 run victory.
The 48 run first wicket partnership from Glenn Hayek and Christian Sargood got the home side off to a near-perfect start.
Hayek was the first to go when he reached 19 runs and Sargood's 38 runs, which included three maximums, was the highest individual score of the match.
Shane Isherwood contributed a more than handy 27 runs with two boundaries for Sussex.
Geoff Webber 15 runs and Stephen Crehan 12 runs reached double figures for Sussex.
Joey Ellery, Andrew Wilson and Luke Hopper claimed two wickets each for Ex-Servos.
