Just weeks after the Boxing Day cinema release of his latest work "We Are Conjola" came the news, the film received an Honorable Mention at the New York International Film Awards in the Best Feature Documentary category, and also made the Official Selection for the Venice Film Awards.
"We Are Conjola" is Mr Brennan's heartfelt take on when Conjola was devastated by in the Currowan Bushfire crisis.
Mr Brennan, on New Year's Eve 2019, lost his house in the Conjola Park bushfire which nearly killed his brother and many others who stayed to fight.
Over 80 homes were destroyed and Mr Brennan wanted to help people recover.
"This film has given Conjola a voice. Up until now, no one has listened," he said.
"Any awards for this film are accepted on behalf of the people of Conjola, my production team and all those who supported us".
Interest in the film has been amazing and tickets sell fast - so act now.
Tickets are in high demand, with Ulladulla's Arcadia selling out within 24 hours and adding another cinema to their January 29.
Local people can see the film at Huskisson Pictures/The Inlet Cinema, Sussex Inlet from January 21 to 27, Arcadia Twin, Ulladulla - commencing January 29 and the Roxy Cinema, Nowra [dates to be confirmed].

Mr Brennan can now sit back and reflect upon his efforts.
"With the help of a small crew, and the community, I'm proud to say that this film is my greatest work to date,," he said.
"It's fair to say that's also been the most personal and emotional.
"I only hope for this film, is that it helps heal all who experienced the trauma of Australia's Black Summer and I Thank you for your support.
"2020 was hard for all of us. How many times have we heard people say that?
"However, I don't think they realise how hard it has been for those of us in bushfire affected communities.
"New Years Eve 2019 will never be forgotten for the people of Conjola.
"The whole world found out about our little paradise for all the wrong reasons."
Hired Gun TV was established in the year 2000 by Mr Brennan.
