Twitter's ban on Donald Trump reflects community standards about what is acceptable to say on a public forum, Gilmore MP Fiona Phillips believes.

Acting Prime Minister Michael McCormack criticised Twitter for the ban on Monday, January 11, labelling it "censoship".
Ms Phillips disagrees.
"He should have been clamped down long ago," she said on Tuesday, January 11.
"His comments have been outrageous. There is a difference between free speech and deliberately misleading people or inciting violence."

Ms Phillips has called for stronger standards around what is acceptable on social media.
"The community has really strong opinions on what is and is not acceptable - clearly Trump and what he has done for some time is not acceptable," she said.
