AMTC is putting on a live show this month in Nowra and it promises to be a great night out.
Featuring local performers, a chamber orchestra, cabaret style seating, wine, grazing boxes, silent auctions and raffle prizes - this show has it all, so don't miss it.
The show 'The Last Five Years' explores a relationship over five years and features only two performers including the beautiful voices of Jane McIntosh and Nathan Lomas.
The musical has adult themes and some strong language so parental guidance is recommended. This is a musical unlike any other, the cleverness of the story will have you switching allegiances each and every song - whose side will you take in the end?
Seating is in tables of two, four, six or eight so you can book a table for two or ask your friends and get a bigger group together.
"Numbers of course are limited due to COVID restrictions but seats are still available and we need your support to help raise funds for our company who is struggling financially after all our 2020 show season was cancelled," director and AMTC president Laura Turner said.
The show will run for three performances only - Friday and Saturday night and a Saturday matinee from 22-23 January, 2021 at the Nowra School of Arts.
Tickets are on sale at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre Box Office (now in the council building), over the phone 1300 788 503 or online here. They're also available at the Berry Music Centre.
When you purchase your tickets you can also pre-order your wine and grazing boxes for your tables at an extra cost.
As well as the show, there will be silent auctions and raffle prizes. Some auction items include handmade furniture, local recreation activities, jewellery, accommodation, and a vintage mink stole.
The genuine mink stole was owned and used for concert wear by the late Christa Leahmann, star of opera and musical theatre in Australia, including the Phantom of the Opera.
Christa lived in the Shoalhaven in her retirement from professional singing and was the founder-director of Opera South Inc and she became involved with AMTC.
Her mink was worn in her last stage performance, AMTC's Fabulous and Forty in 2015.
Donations for prizes, auction items are still being accepted, please email sponsors@amtc.org.au
Supporters will be acknowledged in the show program and via social media. 'Sponsor a Musician' with a monetary donation here.
Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy live musical theatre once more and have a great night out. With a beautiful, witty and emotionally powerful score, The Last Five Years will hook you from the first note.
