The area is already served by two long-time IGA stores at Bomaderry Plaza and the Lyndhurst Centre, while Woolworths opened its new $30 million store on the former John Bull Rubber site last August.
Work has also started on the new Aldi store at the former Shoalhaven Skateway site, with demolition work underway with the company confirming the store will open in late 2021.
The current building on the site is being demolished, with an ALDI Australia spokesperson saying construction of the store will begin in February.

There has been rumours Coles had also purchased land nearby in Bomaderry, but those rumours were quashed last week, when a Coles spokesperson said the company had no plans for an additional store in the Shoalhaven.
"We're very happy with the Nowra store's performance and have no plans to build a new store in the Shoalhaven," the spokesperson said.
