The romantic work of fiction, is set in a fictional town of the same name in tropical north Queensland.
Writing under the pseudonym of Wendy Green (her maiden name), Wendy has been pleased by the positive responses her story has generated since being released online through lulu.com in September.
Wendy said at times the story wrote itself.
"Sometimes I didn't know where the storyline was going but, ably assisted by the many characters who miraculously sprang from the inner depths of my mind, I found the plot took on a life of its own," Wendy said.
"Obviously, the characters had been lurking about in my head getting up to who knows how much mischief while they waited to be born onto the page."
"Everyone has a unique story within them, it's just that some of us feel like it's bursting to come out, so its like we're compelled to sit down at our word processor and let it out."

Despite the plethora of published works out there, Wendy encourages anyone with a story to tell to just sit down and write.
"Everyone has a unique story within them, it's just that some of us feel like it's bursting to come out, so its like we're compelled to sit down at our word processor and let it out," she said.
"That's what I did and the result is this quite substantial publication."
Discretion Point follows the journey of Kate and Ray March, who make the long coastal road trip from the southern suburbs of Sydney to north of Mackay in Queensland in search of renewal.
After 20 years of marriage their relationship could do with some invigoration, away from the distraction of work and family.
However, their plans of a second honeymoon are blown away when they bump into Kate's former boyfriend who, Kate learns, still holds an undying flame for her.
A quintessential Australian flavour has pervaded Wendy's stories and poetry, in both this novel and her previous book, ReCollections.
Wendy enjoys taking the reader on journeys across the country from Sydney to Mackay in Queensland in Discretion Point, to the Blue Mountains in NSW, the Nullarbor Plains of Western Australia, or even St Kilda in Victoria, in her book of short stories and poetry,'ReCollections.
Particularly touching is Dorothy, which recalls the last days of Wendy's mother's life as she struggled through dementia.
Wendy's books are available online as paperbacks or eBooks through lulu.com. Wendy will also have a few copies of her books at her stall at the Berry Bowling Club Markets on Saturday, December 13.
