Shoalhaven City Council and the Nowra CBD Revitalisation Committee have unveiled its Christmas decoration plans for the centre of Nowra.
While Christmas decorations have already started popping up along Junction Street and in Jellybean Park, council also has plans for a 'Christmas wonderland'.
From 7am on Thursday, December 10 council will be closing off Junction Street between NAB and Westpac Bank for 'Shine Bright'.
Culburra Beach's Hoorah Events run by Monica Willis was asked by council to create the Christmas experience.
Monica said she was looking forward to bringing some Christmas cheer in the Nowra CBD.
"We're going to make a little Christmas destination - somewhere for people to come and visit with their kids," she said.
There will be lots of lights, a Santa sleigh and reindeer, bauble chair and lots of decorations which will provide opportunities for family photos.
Ensuring the event was COVID-safe was an important part of the planning.
"It was got a designated entry and exit points so you will have to sign in with a QR code, there will be security and a limit on numbers.
"It's just been something to consider as part as the design and how things work."
The 'Shine Bright' wonderland will be open until December 29.
