This was a huge event for their club with 194 kids registered to compete, against athletes from the Eurobodalla in the south and Manly to the north.
Overall, 21 records were broken on the day.
Basin under 17 athlete Tsar Mandavy broke nine of those records.
In the high jump, the record was 1.55 metres, but Mandavy then went on to break it five times, before finally setting it at 1.80m.
He also broke the 1500m walk record followed by breaking the triple jump mark three times.
After so many months of no sport, it was fantastic to see so many athletes back on the track, doing what they love.
Lots of smiles, plenty of personal bests and new friendships were made.
It was a little different this year, with COVID restrictions, as all athletes had to register before Friday.
This was a huge hit for the club, losing close to $2000, by not being able to take registrations on the day.
For the athletes who are registered in the mid-South Coast zone, this was the first round of the Mid-South Coast Grand Prix.
Points are award for first, second and third across the four carnivals, with Shoalhaven Athletics hosting round two.
