The Nowra-product, who was last season named joint Sheffield Shield player of the year, is part of the 19-player Australia A squad which will take on India A and India in tour matches at Drummoyne Oval and the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Maddinson, who has scored 22, 27 and 39 in his three Sheffield Shield knocks this season, is joined in the squad by fellow Victorian players Marcus Harris and Will Sutherland.
The squad, which features nine players from the Test squad and Australian captain Tim Paine, also includes Sean Abbott, Ashton Agar, Joe Burns, Jackson Bird, Alex Carey, Harry Conway, Cameron Green, Travis Head, Moises Henriques, Mitchell Marsh (subject to fitness), Michael Neser, James Pattinson, Will Pucovski, Mark Steketee and Mitchell Swepson.
The former Bomaderry High School student and his Victorian side, who have a win and draw to their names so far this Sheffield Shield season, face NSW from Tuesday.
