The Bay hosted North Nowra Cambewarra at Hanging Rock Oval and suffered a six-wicket loss in what was a low-scoring one-day affair.
The home side, after winning the toss, elected to bat first and made 109 runs in its first innings.
Norths did not have too many problems during its run chase and got the required runs in a comfortable fashion.
The fall of regular top-order wickets hampered the home side's chances of putting a decent total on the board.
Troy Sweet helped Norths take charge by getting three early wickets, which had the Bay down 3/18 early in the piece.
Recovering from this start was always going to be a struggle for the home side but the Bay's middle order did put up a fight.
Bay trio James Dickinson, Ryan Hall and Zac Henstock made sure Norths had to earn its wickets.
Dickinson's unbeaten 30 runs was an innings full of resilience, while Hall, 18 runs, and Henstock, 14 runs, also dug deep.
Blake Dixon got things back on track for Norths when he dismissed both Henstock and Hall.
This opened up the door for Dean Tyson to clean up the tail.
Tyson had a great day with the ball and picked up a five-wicket haul.
Hyeon Parsons then provided the batting backbone for Norths to pass the Bay's total.
Parsons' 43 runs was an impeccable effort from this promising young player.
Justin Weller, 15 runs, Nick McDonald, 14 runs, and Jack Walsh, 13 runs, helped get Norths past the post.
Dickinson capped off a strong match by picking up two wickets.
