The Keith Payne VC Veterans Benefit Group has organised a number of events.
Through funding from the Department of Veterans' Affairs the group staged a special veterans' dinner on Wednesday night.
Due to COVID restrictions only limited numbers were able to attend the gathering at the Grain and Marble in Nowra.
"It's great to be able to get current serving and former defence personnel together," Keith Payne VC Veterans' Benefit Group president Fred Campbell said.
"Health and mental health for everyone, not just serving personnel or veterans is an important issue.

"It's great to be able to get a group together to mark Veteran's Health Week. And from the noise around the room, with lots of conversation, we achieved our goal of getting people out, engaging and enjoying each other's company."
An outline of the many activities and projects the Keith Payne VC Veterans' Benefit Group is undertaking was also given on the night.
A number of special presentation were also undertaken with a number of members presented with their Keith Payne VC Veterans' Benefit Group shirts, those who have been involved in all 10 Digger Day events were also acknowledged. Steve Bassett, the owner of the Grain and Marble was presented with a signed photograph of Keith Payne VC to recognise his ongoing support of the organisation.
The group will hold a second DVA backed event to mark Veterans Health Week on Friday, October 30, with a special Veterans 'Walk to Talk'.
The group will meet on the lawn of the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre just prior to 7.30am, stepping off at 7.30 for a gentle walk through Harry Sawkins Park, followed by egg and bacon rolls, washed down with a hot coffee.
"The walks, which we hold twice a week on Monday (8am) and Friday (7.30am) are completed with great conversation," Mr Campbell said.
Friday morning's event is completely free and open to serving and retired veterans.
"Come one, come all and join us," Mr Campbell said.
