The fifteen-year-old junior topped the climb in 16 minutes, 5.09 seconds.
This time by Trkulja is the fastest time recorded by an under 17 rider on the mountain and it was 41 seconds faster than that of second-placed Coby Muir.
Muir won this event in 2019 with a nine-second improvement.
Josh Ludman raced into third position in 17 minutes, 21.23 seconds.
At sixteen years, Ludman is also a junior as is Muir at 18 years.
His time also gave him the B grade win.
More juniors were gathering prizes on the mountain as Liam Wallis won C grade and was 10th overall with Hugh Vaughan the second-best in C grade and 12th overall.
Veteran rider on the mountain, Henry Wakeford was third in C grade in 20 minutes 45.06 seconds.
Ben Rolfe finished fourth with 17 minutes, 28.69 seconds ahead of Levi Johns (18:06.49) and another of those NVC juniors, Brooklyn Henry (18:22.46).
Dan Wells was seventh fastest up the mountain with a great time for a big man.
Wells recorded 18 minutes 28.55 seconds with Gavin Nethery next best in 19 minutes 16.96 seconds.
Nethery was the second-placed B grade rider and he was eight seconds faster than another of those big men, Phil Rice who took the B grade bronze medal.
Junior Liam Wallis had the 10th time (19:39.26) and Ben Wallis was 11th (19:49.71).
John Cullity topped the masters in D grade when he won that grade in 22 minutes, 55.06 seconds and ahead of Bill Stahlhut (23:40.46), Martyn Smith (24:07.69), Steve Daley (25:41.55) and Matt Grootenboer (28:30.13).
Despite the forecast weather, the showers and a wet road for half of the climb, 32 Nowra Velo members were on the start line to test themselves up the climb.
A time span of just over 12 minutes covered the whole field on the results sheet.
The Nowra Velo Club 2020 club championship series continues on November 8 with road events while the final round of the 2020 Optus series is scheduled for next Sunday as criteriums on the Albatross Aviation Tech park circuit.
