In wet conditions, it took just five minutes for the premiers to open the afternoon's scoring.
A darting run by Georgia Thomas created space down the right edge, which allowed Loagan Garratt to weave her way through to score.
Carly Ryan, in her return match from a calf injury, missed the conversion, as the Roos led 4-nil.
In a rampant start, the Roos had numerous chance to score their second and would have if not for the desperate defence and speed by Dogs fullback Meg Buchanan - who pulled off countless last-ditch tags.
But in the 16th minute, the Kevin Walsh Oval-based side's lead was finally doubled when Ryan stepped past Olivia Patterson, Ebony Murray and Buchanan before diving over next to the posts.
The playmaker converted her own four-pointer and the lead was 10 - which is how it remained until half-time.
After the break, knowing they needed to score next, the Dogs stepped it up a notch and finally got their first.
A swift interchange of passing between Patterson and Alysha Adams created space down the right edge before the former touched down.
Murray converted for the Bulldogs and it was 10-6 with 19 to play.
This try galvanised the Bulldogs, as they dominated the next section of the game - being parked down in the Superoos' 20-metre zone for close to eight minutes.
But between a handful of wasteful passes and devoted defence by the Roos, the Bulldogs couldn't find a way through for a second.
That play proved insignificant minutes later when the final siren sounded, to hand the Roos their second straight WLT1 title.
In the win, Ryan was named player of the match, with Smith, Chelsea Tout and Georgia Thomas also starring.
While Buchanan, Cheyanne Hatch, Patterson and Murray did all they could for the Bulldogs in the four-point defeat.
