Mission Australia partnered with PCYC Shoalhaven, Shoalhaven City Council and The Youthie to put on the Youth Fun Day on Thursday, October 1.
There was boxing, basketball and free BBQ put on for the day.
Mission Australia program manger of community services Belle Grossetti said the event was about fostering well being and giving youth an outlet to remain connected.
"We find that utilising something like fitness and sports brings kids out of their shell and gives them a healthy outlet," she said.
"We're hoping to do this as an annual event to celebrate youth."
Mission Australia runs a number of programs across the South Coast including their carer gateway program, grandparents raising grandchildren program, youth justice program and transition to work program.
Ms Grossetti said the pandemic had thrown a lot of challenges at youth and encouraged other organisations to put on more events.
"I'd like to encourage other community organisation to partner together for these types of events because it is such a great opportunity for us to support our youth and to encourage them," she said.
"It's really important we are there to support them these unusual times.
"It is quite difficult for youth in a smaller community and then to be hit with a pandemic - our main drive is to ensure our youth remain connected because we worry about social isolation."
