Should we be pumped about hydro power?

In today's world the PH-Projects have been successful only in the past. At present all data is manipulated to the extent of being very low and incur in a two, three, and more fold increase, look at Snowy 2.0 from a handful of billions to 10B+
Who is to blame? Only project development managers and lobbyists that always want work for their companies
I am an estimator, have been a manager and have 52 years of major project experience around the world, I know what I say and I don't like it a bit. There is too much hiding the truth and cost before the signing of a contract - then the surprise later.

Hospital must remain in CBD
I cannot understand moving Nowra Hospital. With the amount of money that has been invested in the present site this to me is a ridiculous idea.
It just how out touch the Mayor and some followers are.
What about the older people, they need the hospital here as it is central to community and transport.

What's the limit for common sense?
On Flatrock Rd, West Nowra, northbound the speed limit is 100km/h for heavy trucks running overweight on permit.
There is 50m notice to go from 100km/h to 15km/h.
Southbound the speed limit is 15km/h for unladen traffic all the way to Yalwal Rd.
It's a narrow road, with no speed signage, no lighting, no centre line, no fog lines.
Shoalhaven City Council, really? It's one of the busiest roads in the area ... who did the safely audit here?

Gas plan a letdown
There is something for some but not all in Mr Morrison's "gas led recovery" announcements. For people suffering from bushfires, drought and hurricanes, and for the burnt koalas and rainforests, there is more greenhouse gas. For believers in ethical government, there is a clandestine process by which fossil fuel executives get to decide what happens to taxpayers' money. For people interested in Australia's technological progress there is (once again) a flagship strategy of digging stuff out of the ground.
For young people, Mr Morrison fails to articulate any credible path to eliminate net GHG emissions. For people interested in rational decision making, there is no reasoning about the pros and cons of alternatives to gas power and gas use. No reasoning about the optimal configuration of our electricity system. And, the government is ignoring its own taskforce conclusions about electricity demand. For Ms Berejiklian's dream of a conservative government leading the way on climate change - sorry, nothing. And no commitment to help with the NSW government's plans for renewable energy. For Tasmanians, nothing about the Marinus Power link - even though this commitment would cut gas demand and make electricity supply cheaper and more reliable.
For farmers near Narrabri, there is fracking, water table damage, and pollution. For Australian business the government could, if it wanted, require gas companies to make more low cost domestic gas available. But it has chosen not to. Instead, there is the same "increased supply" approach that has failed in recent years to keep gas prices down. And, there is the plan to burn more gas in power stations, thus leaving less available for everything else. For business investors, there is ongoing lack of planning, shifting goalposts, and ad hoc government intervention.
