Milton had an opportunity in the first half with a penalty awarded to them, which they were able to convert to a goal.
Keeper Brendan Hobbs did well to get a hand to it but wasn't able to fully deflect it.
Unfortunately, Basin was unable to come back from the 1-nil deficit, which saw them miss out on the title.
Saturday morning was an exciting day for the juniors, with four teams in the grand finals.
Starting out the day was the under 12 girls who finished out their brilliant season in fine form.
A hat-trick for both Lily Heckenberg and Leilani Bagley and a goal to Bridie Hilton saw the girls take home a 7-1 win.
With most girls being 10-11 years old, they will make for a competitive team again next year.
Basin's under 13 Boys A had a close game with Shoalhaven United.
The boys went to half-time at 1-all with Nayt Perez scoring for the team.
Coming out at half-time, the teams continued with their tit-for-tat score-line with Nayt Perez scoring two more times and an own-goal being awarded against United - leaving the final score at 4-3 Basin.
The final match of the morning was a Basin vs Basin under 10s grand final.
Under 10 Red had a goal each from Lachlan Deeth and Tyren McNiven with Jet Lewis and Caleb Taunton taking turns in goals and doing great jobs.
Under 10 White secured the match, however, with five goals from Aston McGinn and a goal from Zac Cubbo.
Darcy Lord in goals made it difficult for the Reds to capitalise on their opportunities.
It was an exciting way for the kids to finish a strong season.
The senior men were not to be outdone by their junior counterparts, however, in providing for nail-biting action.
Reserve grade men took on Huskisson-Vincentia for a place in the grand final.
The game was evenly matched, with neither team being able to score in regular or extra-time.
A penalty shoot-out is never a nice way to end a match, yet this is where it finished.
It seemed nothing would separate the teams until the sixth Husky shot was successfully blocked by Basin keeper Dave Coventry.
It was a nervous time for the Basin crowd but the sixth shooter for Basin, Dayne Spalding, took it in his stride, delivering a low, fastball to the bottom right corner and securing the team the win.
The first grade match agaist United was equally exciting.
The team started out strong with several solid attacks on goals.
In the 13th minute, a red card to a United defender seemed to help the crowd relax.
But this was short-lived, as United continued to doggedly fight against the Basin attack.
It wasn't until the second half of extra-time that substitute Owen Browne was able to capitalise on a chaotic play in the 18-yard box and deliver one into the back of the net - with the Basin crowd erupting with excitement and relief.
United continued to fight but with only seven minutes remaining, Basin was able to hold them off and secure their spot in the grand final.
The club is extremely excited about the grand final. It is the first time first grade has been in a decider since 2006 and the club has never won the title.
After winning the club's first competition championship, the first grade team is looking to add to the milestone with a grand final win against Bomaderry on Saturday.
