This is no more evident than over the past month, where the Titans have rattled off four straight wins - following back-to-back losses.
If the Titans, coached by Milton-Ulladulla's Justin Holbrook, can make it five straight on Friday, it will equal the club's longest winning streak of five, during their 14-year NRL existence.
"The past few years have been disappointing, as everyone can see the results we've produced, despite having numerous strong players at the club," Rein said.
"However, since Justin [Holbrook] has arrived, he's made us all accountable and everyone is buying into his structures and there's a really good balance at the moment.
"Despite being out of the race for finals, all the boys are keen to finish the year on a win and chalk up our fifth straight victory."
The only two other occasions the Gold Coast has won five matches on the trot were in 2008 [round three to seven] and 2010 [round 20 to 24].
"Going into the off-season on the back of five straight wins would give everyone a huge amount of confidence heading into the 2021 season," the Kiama High School alumnus said.
"As much as next year in important though, our main focus is producing our best football each week.
"If we do that, I know the results will take care of themselves.
"Although the five-game streak hasn't been discussed, we want to end this season on a high for all our loyal fans and make our families proud."
To achieve this milestone, the Cbus Super Stadium-based club will have to overcome the Newcastle Knights, who are coached by former Batemans Bay Tiger Adam O'Brien.
Rein and his side are under no illusions this will be their toughest match over the past month, with the Knights being the only top-eight side they've played.
"It's going to be a solid test to see where we are at," Rein, who's been cleared to play this Friday following a head knock against Manly-Warringah last round, said.
"No disrespect to the other four sides but none of them were in the hunt for finals, so this will be our biggest challenge in some time.
"The Knights are travelling extremely well and are preparing for a finals campaign and so they've got a lot to play for and will no doubt want to build some momentum heading into next weekend."
Highlighting the importance of Rein to Holbrook's side, his return from injury in round 16 had coincided with the Titans' form reversal - marking the first time the 30-year-old has strung four matches together in a row.
"It's unfortunately been up and down for me this season," Rein, who isn't fazed by the rumours linking the Titans to other hookers on the open market, said.
"I started the year off not too well and got taken out of the team by Justin [Holbrook].
"So I went away, worked hard and to ensure I was ready if another opportunity came my way.
"Just when I started to build some momentum, I got injured against Cronulla, and I was sidelined for an extended period of time.
"Once another chance presented itself, I grabbed it with both hands and haven't looked back . All the boys are really clicking at the moment and it's really special to be a part of.
"We are all doing our jobs and enjoying our footy at the same time.
"With so many strike weapons in the side, I've just been concentrating on my defence and clean service two our halves and forwards.
"Obviously there's still plenty to work on, especially in my attack, but that's what I plan to work on during the off-season.
"However, I won't worry about that until after the weekend and we play Newcastle."
